I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m answering a bunch of common questions, as well as how to grab them for less, in the sections below! Where did you end up buying them?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus
How expensive are they?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their design features.
How does the sizing run?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. No-show socks thegoldengooses.com help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already softened so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also look great.

They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
